Smoove hails fom Newcastle in the UK and is now a well established producer and DJ, Crossing all musical boarders in his own compositions and in his DJ sets by fusing Funk, Northern Soul, Hip Hop, Breakbeats, Disco and Jazz to an organic union.  

His presence in the UK and Europe expanded with tours promoting the late 2005 release of his debut album “Dead Men’s Shirts” on Acid Jazz Records from which came the hit singles Coming Back and The Revolution Will Be Televised’.

2006 saw the creation of his highly succesfull “Mash Up” label Wack Records. Its first two releases “Big Love” & “Quality Soul”. rocked the German club charts to number 15.  

Smoove released his second album ‘Gravy’ Remixes & Rarities in 2007which featured the B-Boy athem and club smash “Im A Man” receiving heavy rotation from the likes Andy Smith and Craig Charles BBC6 Radio Funk & Soul Show.   

Recent productions have escalated to great heights with his unmistakable ‘Smoove’ sound. A raise in profile has resulting in many high profile artists requesting Smoove remixes from the likes of Bahama Soul Club, New Master Spounds, Malente and Ju Ju Orchestra to name a few.

More recently came the successfull collaboration of Smoove and Turrell, having released their first album “Antique soul” on Jalapeno Records in April 2009. Smoove and Turrell have released some outstanding singles in 2009, working with some of the best remix artists in the country and beyond alongside a video to accompany the release of Beggarman which is receiving heavy rotation on Deluxe TV in Germany. www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnahB3SYN84

Smoove is currently running his new label Wass Records and working on a follow up album for Smoove and Turrell called “Eccentric Audio”. Smoove is on a constant DJ tour in the UK, Europe and beyond, with upcoming dates at Kendal Calling Festival, Glastonbury festival (200,000 people) and the Big Chill Festival over the summer. Things are looking extremely good in 2010.

Acid Jazz Records founder and DJ legend Eddie Piller calls Smoove simply one of the best DJs he ever heard. And in fact not many DJs are mixing ‘old’ and ‘new’ styles as fresh and skilled as Smoove.
