Info on 'Lion's Den' Singe:
Extra large club smasher The Lion’s Den is another of Join The Dots’ many highlights and will be the lead single from the album. Here The Nextmen’s studio skills are complimented by additional production from Andy Cato, one half of good ship Groove Armada, whilst the tune’s storming vocal comes courtesy of triple MOBO, double Brit Award and Mercury Music Prize winner Ms. Dynamite. Continuing her ongoing renaissance, Ms. Dynamite revisits her harder-edged original roots with a vocal that switches smoothly between rapid-fire ragga chat and soulful singing. The Lion’s Den is already picking up plays from Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, Mista Jam, Steve Lamacq, Toddla T, Sinden, Semtex, Grooverider & many more, and will no doubt be bothering bass bins far and wide over the coming months. Also check the monster remix package courtesy of Sigma, Truth, Man Like Me and Rudimental
ALBUM: 'JOIN THE DOTS' PR RELEASE:
Join The Dots is The Nextmen’s fourth full-length studio outing. Inspired by their eclectic DJ sets, the duo incorporate and venture far beyond the hip-hop focused sound of their earlier productions to unite soul, dancehall, reggae, breakbeat, dubstep and pop styles. The intention is to literally join the dots between the broader musical styles within their already bulging and ever-expanding record collection. Brad and Dom have personally invited various guest vocalists to the party, all of whom they’ve discovered through their diverse tastes and by being immersed in the music scene. Following the underwater jungle of the album opener and title track, the roll-call kicks off with Dynamite MC’s ode to the female form on Round Of Applause. Other contributors include newcomer Betty Steeles, Roll Deep associate Kivanc, Roots Manua-endorsed Banana Clan man Jimmy Screech and Lindsay West, whose honeyed vocals have been championed by Elbow frontman Guy Garvey and grace incendiary closing track Burn.
